Quad9 is a free security solution that uses DNS to protect your systems against the most common cyber threats. You can setup Quad9 on your PS4 in 12 easy steps.

Step 1

Navigate to the PS4 settings.

Step 2

Within the PS4 settings, navigate to Network.

Step 3

Select Set up Internet Connection.

Step 4

You will be prompted to select between using Wi-Fi or LAN Cables.

Step 5

When asked how you want to set up the internet connection, select Custom.

Step 6

When asked which network you want to use, select the your home network's SSID.

Step 7

When asked about IP Address Settings, select the correct option for your network. (This setting is unrelated to Quad9)

Step 8

When asked about DHCP Host Name, select the correct option for your network. (This setting is unrelated to Quad9)

Step 9

When asked about DNS Settings, select Manual.

Step 10

Enter the appropriate Quad9 address for your needs. For more information on which server is right for you, please visit our Quad9 IPs and Other Settings page. Most users will enter the following: Primary DNS: 9.9.9.9 Secondary DNS: 149.112.112.112

Step 11

When asked about MTU Settings, select the correct option for your network. (This setting is unrelated to Quad9)

Step 12

When asked about Proxy Server, select the correct option for your network. (This setting is unrelated to Quad9)

Your PS4 is now using Quad9.
