Nominet Invests in Quad9
We are excited to announce that Quad9 has been chosen as one of the first recipients of the Nominet DNS Fund. The fund is designed to support the “unseen” work that keeps the internet running, and we’re proud that our contribution to that ecosystem has been recognised.
Quad9 operates a public interest DNS service that combines security, privacy, and accessibility, with a strong focus on users in parts of the world that have high exposure to online threats but limited access to protective services. Quad9 is unique in that it blocks known malicious domains using threat intelligence from more than thirty partners, giving users a layer of protection even if they don’t have other security measures in place.
We are committed to the privacy of end users, integrity of the DNS, and creating positive change in the DNS community and technology space. By promoting good policy and contributing code back to the fully open-source stack that powers our platform and of so many others, Quad9 tries to “move the needle” for its own users as well as all other members of the DNS community.
